Have you ever wondered what it would be like to live in James’s Giant Peach? Or maybe Toontown? Or a Cool World?
Erika from Dorky Mom Doodles totally lives in that world with her family. At least, she lives there on the internet (where you can be anything you want to be especially if you want to be mean in the comment section which Erika is decidedly NOT).
Erika is SUPER nice. A super nice cartoon mom that shares all of the hilarious things her cartoon family does with all of us three dimensional people. She’s basically the Matt Groenig of Mommy Blogs and EVERYONE loves the Simpsons.
If you haven’t seen Dorky Mom Doodles, go check her out now. I’ll wait.
You can also find her on Facebook and Twitter. She isn’t on Instagram anymore but she TOTALLY belongs there. Doodles belong in squares!! We can try to convince her if we work together. Let’s start by signing this petition! (<–you can click there or you can TOTALLY CLICK THE PICTURE BELOW because I figured out how to turn a picture into a link!!)
1. Do you have any training in art or are you just naturally amazing?
I haven’t taken an art class since middle school, so no, I have no training whatsoever. This is probably painfully obvious at time considering how badly drawn the arms on my people are!
2. If you could be any superhero, with both their powers and weaknesses, which would you choose?
3. Itβs the PTA Bake Sale: homemade, store bought, or NOPE?
Oh dear, sweet Erika and her wonderful doodles. This makes my heart happy. Everyone in the world needs to read her latest on bike riding… Perfection! I love Monday Mamas!

Oh, and “super nice” and “sweet”? Clearly I need to work on tarnishing up my reputation a bit π

Oh sorry: Erika is fine, I guess. If you like that sort of thing.
Better? π

I was thinking more along the lines of words with “ass” in them, like badass or kickass. Maybe smartass. Just not dumbass. π

Thanks to Darlene for having me participate in her Monday’s Mama feature! There’s a petition, too, so check it out.

Signed the petition. Love the DMD a lot. Glad I found her on the A to Z. Thanks for spotlighting her, Dee. I’ll have to check out your blog now. Even though my kids are grown (youngest will be 21 next month) and I am old(er) than you guys, I certainly can relate to all you draw/write about and I can laugh since I am on the other side of it. π

My oldest will be 21 in December. That kind of parenting is next level. I want to read YOUR wisdom!

You don’t look old enough to have a 21 year old. It definitely is a different kind of parenting. Mostly I need to remember not to say “I told you so” very often. Occasionally one will say “Mom, you were right.” I just smile. I have three children total, with a 10 year gap between the first two (now 31 yo girl and 29 yo boy) and our youngest girl.

Aw shucks, thanks. I have a 16 year gap between kid 2 and kid 3. It’s been, um, interesting. The baby has toured more colleges than most college students lol!
